Get DIS Party Started
Companion Card will host a free dance party for Companion Card holders and their carers. The carnival themed dance party features DJ Stephen Ferris and roving performers to entertain guests. Sideshow alley will give everyone the chance to try their luck on the mini striker or laughing clowns. Show bags, popcorn and fairy floss are just some of the other highlights of the afternoon.

Art Injection
Delineate is an exciting component of the Don’t DIS my ABILITY campaign in celebrating International Day of People with a Disability. In partnership with Accessible Arts, the program is designed to boost and foster arts and disability practice within NSW.
Grants awarded to artists enable them to develop their project in disciplines including dance, music, theatre, visual arts, literature, hybrid/interdisciplinary arts and community art.

Delineate 2012 recipient: Janet Diane
Project name: I Love You
I Love You is the story of a young woman who loves to dance the tango. When she unexpectedly has a stroke, she’s hospitalised and told she’ll never walk again. She’s unable to say anything other than “I love you.” This play is the story of a woman who defies some extraordinary odds during her journey to recovery.
Presented as an online event, documentation and vox pop reels of Janet’s journey can be viewed live on the Powerhouse Youth Theatre website.
